While Slayaway Camp has been available on other platforms including PC, Mac, Linux, Steam OS and iOS for some time now, it was only yesterday that it finally became available for Android devices. The game is available on the Google Play Store for $1.99 – and just like the iOS version, contains no ads or microtransactions that would “distract you from pure puzzle slashery”. In its newsletter, the developer notes that all fans need to do is “pay and slay”.
The announcement of the game releasing on Android devices is not all that was in Blue Wizard Digital’s latest newsletter. It also announced an update for the iOS version, introducing new Deleted Scenes (aka: extra challenge levels).
There have also been new killers added to the mystery box for players to unlock, along with various alterations to the exit portal, plus tweaks and bug fixes. iOS users also get a set of Slayaway Camp iMessage stickers, as seen in the image below.
There was, however, a warning about a bug in the iOS version of the game that has made some gorepacks (special kills) disappear. The developer wrote:
Note: The bug in the iOS version is now fixed.
It was also noted that all new content for the iOS version of the game will also be present in the Android version. Just to finish off the newsletter, a teaser was presented for this months new Monthly Murderer, with the hint of “Voice actor, sketch comedian, Cthulhu Summoning Cultist.”
The code to unlock the Monthly Murderer is only available to those who sign up for the Slayaway Camp newsletter.
