In a blog post Monday, Sony championed the update as a visual improvement, although did not offer any specific images or examples. The blog post teased a new experience, saying “If you’ve got a Sony ayStation 4, you might recognize our new user interface – we’ve added the same sleek launch animation live wallpaper across the lock home screens.” The update also brings tweaks to the Status Bar, Quick Settings, several Sony-specific apps like Messaging, Smart Connect, TrackID, at’s New, Battery STAMINA Mode, MAN (yes, it still lives on), bum Movies.  The M2 phones also get access to Xperia Themes, customizable UI packs that have proven fairly popular with over 2 million downloads.  The update also adds compatibility to the Sony SmartB S10 wearable fitness tracker companion felog Android app. Getting the latest version of Android is always a positive, as it improves compatibility with ay Store applications usually results in a smoother running device.
