It is no secret that Sony is working on releasing the Xperia Z3 and the Z3 Compact at IFA later this year. While the specs and pictures of the Xperia Z3 have already made its way to the Internet, details and pictures about its smaller sibling have been missing until now. Today, some images of what is apparently the Xperia Z3 Compact have surfaced on Weibo, giving the world a proper look at its design. According to the source of the leak, the Xperia Z3 Compact will come with a 4.6-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, front-facing stereo speakers and a 20.7MP Exmor R sensor with F/2.0 lens.
While the leaked images are not particularly clear, they do show off the design of the handset, which is very similar to the Xperia Z2/Z1 and follows Sony’s now familiar OmniBalance design language. The elder brother of the Z3 Compact — the Xperia Z3 — will also sport the same specs albeit with a larger 5.15-inch screen. Both these devices are expected to be unveiled at IFA, which will be held in September at Berlin this year.
