Despite the fact that Sony actually launched the Xperia Z4 earlier this year, it looks like the company already has a new handset on the way. As revealed by Xperia Blog, and based on press images of the unannounced handset that were apparently released, but quickly pulled, by Sony’s PR team, these are images of the upcoming Z5. As one can immediately tell, the Z5 looks like the Z4, as far as the major strokes of design are concerned. There is one key difference, in the hardware department, though: An engraved “Xperia” on the side of the device.

Of course, that’s not the only difference. The camera has been upgraded, and is now reportedly a 23MP shooter, instead of a 20.7-megapixel camera, as is present in the Z4. Otherwise, the Z5 looks like a Z4, and it will come in a variety of hues, including white, gold, and turquoise.

Sony’s rumored to be showing off the handset at this year’s IFA, which takes place in September, so if you’ve been waiting to see a new handset from Sony, you don’t have that long to wait.
