At the beginning of June, Sony announced the first of a pair of brand new mid-range devices with the reveal of Xperia T3. A month later, the Xperia-branded sibling, the C3, showed up to impress all those in the world who love to take selfies. While the Xperia T3 is available now, the Xperia C3 has to wait until August to see the light of day in any official capacity. Luckily, someone has already gotten their hands on it. Thanks to a series of photographs taken of the Xperia C3 out there in the wild, as originally published to the site Digi-wo, and caught by The Xperia Blog, we get to see how the device looks in its mint-hue color, and compared to Sony’s Xperia T3. The first thing that’s noticeable is the size difference in displays, with the Xperia C3’s 5.5-inch screen looking quite big compared to the 5.3-inch Xperia T3.
The other noteworthy feature would have to be the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which you can distinctly make out from any angle when you’re looking at the face of the handset. That camera is what is making Sony brand it as the “best selfie phone,” as they suggest is a pretty important feature these days:
Both devices are thin handsets, and while the Xperia T3 may offer a stainless steel chassis, the rest of the features are the same: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, and a battery measured at 2500mAh.
